Privacy Policy
SpyglassBeacon is a product of PerfSpot LLC. Last updated July 14, 2026.
The short version
Your location history stays on your phone. SpyglassBeacon has no user accounts, keeps no cloud copy of your location data, and never sells or shares your data with anyone. The only thing that leaves your device is a report you deliberately export and share yourself.
What the app collects, and where it lives
Location samples. With your permission, the app records your device's location in the background to attribute each calendar day to the state you were in. These samples — coordinates, timestamps, and the state they resolve to — are stored in a database on your device. They are not transmitted to us or to any third party.
Motion activity. The app uses your device's motion coprocessor to decide when to sample location efficiently. Motion data is processed on-device and is not stored or transmitted.
Usage events. The app records basic product events (for example, that onboarding was completed) in the same on-device database, to help you and us debug the app. These contain no location coordinates and are likewise not transmitted.
Reports you export
When you export a day-count report, the app generates a PDF on your device and hands it to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes from there — email, AirDrop, your accountant — is entirely your choice. We never receive a copy.
Your controls
You can pause tracking at any time, and you can permanently delete your entire location history from the app's Settings. Deleting the app also deletes all data it stored. Revoking location permission in iOS Settings stops all collection immediately.
This website
This marketing site does not set tracking cookies and does not collect personal information. If you contact support, we keep the correspondence so we can help you.
Changes and contact
If a future version of the app adds optional features that change how data is handled (for example, encrypted sync between your own devices), this policy will describe them before they ship, and they will be opt-in.
